Synthesised Image Reconstruction for Post-Reconstruction Resolution Recovery

چکیده
Resolution recovery (RR) techniques in PET imaging aim to mitigate spatial resolution losses and related inaccuracies quantification by using a model of the systems point spread function (PSF) during reconstruction or post processing. However, including PSF modelling fully 3D image is far from trivial as access scanner-specific forward back-projectors required, along with sinogram data. Hence post-reconstruction RR methods, such Richardson-Lucy (RL) algorithm, can be more practical. RL method leads relatively rapid noise amplification early iterations, giving inferior quality compared iterates obtained placing algorithm. We propose synthesising data projection an initial real (such reconstructions are usually available via scanners standard software). The synthetic then used reconstruct image, but crucially now modelled within system reconstruction. Results simulations demonstrate proposed improves whilst avoiding need for projectors raw (as required reconstruction).

Super-Resolution Thermal Image Reconstruction
Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging, Thermal Imaging or Thermography, could be the next chapter in safer, more effective screening for cancer, sport injuries including orthopedic issues and more. Unfortunately, thermal image camera resolution is considerably lower than of optical cameras, mostly only 160x120 or 320x240 pixels. The readout durability was still poor and needed improvement. In this p...
متن کاملImage Capture Modelling for High Resolution Reconstruction
A research topic that has been receiving much interest recently is the reconstruction of a high resolution image from an ensemble of low resolution images of the same scene. Such image fusion implies that each low resolution image individually does not contain all of the available information, and therefore must be subject to aliasing. The reconstruction process involves resampling the ensemble...
متن کاملResolution-recovery-embedded image reconstruction for a high-resolution animal SPECT system.
The small-animal High-Resolution SPECT (HiReSPECT) is a dedicated dual-head gamma camera recently designed and developed in our laboratory for imaging of murine models. Each detector is composed of an array of 1.2 × 1.2 mm(2) (pitch) pixelated CsI(Na) crystals. Two position-sensitive photomultiplier tubes (H8500) are coupled to each head's crystal. In this paper, we report on a resolution-recov...
